McDonald’s Egypt Provides More Than 120,000 Protective Supplies and Meals for Medical Staff in 6 Governorates

In Cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation, Manfoods – McDonald’s Egypt provided more than 120,000 medical supplies such as surgical masks, medical gowns and protective goggles to support quarantine hospitals in Egypt.

McDonald’s Egypt directed its efforts to support medical staff and employees in quarantine hospitals as part of its commitment towards the society. In addition to donating the medical supplies, McDonald’s Egypt provides meals twice a week to medical staff in quarantine hospitals across six governorates as a thank you for their efforts and lift their spirits.

Chairman of Manfoods – McDonald’s Egypt, Yassin Mansour said, “At this critical time, we have to unify our efforts in supporting Egypt to face this pandemic. Therefore, Manfoods – McDonald’s Egypt – decided to express its gratitude and appreciation to the medical heroes by providing them with the protection items needed to help them complete their vital role in saving the lives of millions.”

Mansour has elaborated by saying, “This support is considered payback to Egypt; the country that witnessed our inception and expansion. We have implemented different initiatives in our companies in order to provide the full support for the country in facing this crisis.”

This initiative comes in solidarity with the government’s effort in facing the global challenge of COVID-19 in Egypt and the whole world. This requires cooperation between the private sector and civil society to face the challenges affecting the community in light of the crisis.
