The Mansour Group’s expansion strategy focuses on opportunities in areas where the Group has a proven track record. One such opportunity entailed leveraging the Group’s experience in managing the Caterpillar business, with the 1997 acquisition of Unatrac Limited and enjoying a market leadership in all of the African territories with a market share of above 55%.
 Previously owned by Unilever, Unatrac is a group of Caterpillar distributorships located in Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Sierra-Leone, with a central administration office in the UK. Shortly after acquisition by the Mansour Group, Unatrac began distributing in Russia as well. The organization today has 24 branches in ten countries employing 1,000 individuals.
