Kheir Zaman
The Kheir Zaman discount grocery store chain was launched in 2006, and also operates under Metro Markets for Trading and Distribution. Created to provide a more personalized service to cater to lower end consumers, which constitute over 90% of the Egyptian population, Kheir Zaman offers the lowest available prices, yet still ensures its customers top quality. Today, Kheir Zaman is the number one discount store chain in Egypt, with almost 2,000 employees and 30 stores throughout the country. Like its sister chain Metro , Kheir Zaman is also expanding quickly and plans to have 50 stores by the end of 2012.

Together, Metro and Kheir Zaman have a combined network of 72 stores and proudly serve more than 100,000 customers a day making the company the largest food retailer in the Egyptian market.
